Misguided Indigenous Efforts

Indigenous people are mobilizing but their efforts are in vain.

Armed with new degrees in law young indigenous activists are using proven Jewish methods to get their points across.

The question remains: Are they pointing at the wrong target.

Indigenous folks, Canadian in particular, have many quite serious problems on their reserves and in most of their settlements scattered across the country. Most are so isolated the only mode in and out is by plane or boat. Young people are committing suicide in epidemic numbers. Poverty is endemic on these reserves.

Yet the root cause remains undiscussed. Property rights on reserves and closing most isolated reserves down completely. Provide a trust, if need be, and move these poor folks off their reserves and into main stream society.

Then and only then will the indigenous problem start going away.

Instead the Canadian government has already spent $53,000,000 on the Missing Indigenous Women Inquiry trying to solve decades old cold case murders by committee. Not going to happen. This is a political stand off by misguided indigenous leaders and gullibe and gutless politicians who can't and won't do anything because it's impossible.
